Fred Braselton’s father, Guy Braselton, came to Corpus Christi in 1945 to build a children’s home that had been destroyed in a fire and began building homes in Corpus Christi ever since.
After quarterbacking for Georgia Tech’s football team, Fred returned to Corpus Christi and worked for Prescon, another family owned commercial construction company, for 12 years before starting Braselton Homes in 1973.
Working alongside his wife Vanessa who is an accomplished designer and decorator, Fred expanded the family business that now includes not only building homes, but developing neighborhoods with the help of his son Bart who joined the business in 1988.
Though now semi-retired, Fred continues to be involved and attributes their success to hard work, planning, and prayer. A faithful member at Yorktown Baptist Church, Fred is a successful business leader in South Texas who is known for his Christian faith and charitable giving.
